The Irish National Taekwon-Do Association held their Winter Grading on January 16th in Cork City. The later date was due to very poor weather prior to Christmas. Eighteen candidates from all over the country graded in front of the three Master panel of Master Brendan O'Toole, Master Val Douglas and Master Gerry Martin.

Each Student was put through three rigorous stages which culminated in the special technique and destruction aspect of the grading. Inspiration to all was Mr. Tom Connor who at 73 years of age graded through each of the respective stages and achieved his 5th degree black belt.
