NewsletterMasters, Instructors, Competitors and Friends,
Hereby we would like to invite you for participation in the Dutch ITF Taekwon-do tournament the “Holland Cup” at the 29th of May 2011. The official invitation and complete form for subscription will follow at a later timepoint.
The Holland Cup tournament is open for participation to all ITF Taekwon-Do organizations. Last year there were over 370 competitors from multiple countries, 60 volunteers, 60 referees all divided over 7 area’s and over 500 spectators through the day. This makes it one of the largest Taekwon-Do events in the Netherlands and surrounding countries.
For the second edition of the Holland Cup the organization will arrange something special whereby the tournament gets closer to a European or World championship. The Holland Cup will be the first in the Netherlands to have this special feature at a tournament.
Some quotes after the Holland Cup 2010:
Master Denis from ITF Great-Britain quoted this tournament to be ‘the best he had been to in the last few years, both in level of competition and organization’.
Pascal Raeijmaekers coach from Hwa-Rang (Belgium) quoted:Next to the Open Slovenia and Viking Cup there's another great tournament to add to that list; the ‘Holland Cup’.
The tournament will consist of the categories sparring, patterns and special techniques in all divisions and ITF rules will be observed in each category. Furthermore the tournament will be held under supervision of PROMAT, a Dutch organization specialized in organizing ITF Taekwon-do tournaments and well known for its high quality tournaments. The PROMAT organization always hosts open tournaments, meaning that competitors from all different ITFs can participate. Finally, a very large accommodation for the tournament has been arranged, with hotels and all other necessary facilities close by.
