Newsletter 4/2010 3rd Update IIC 2010 The Netherlands
On behalf of the organisation here is the 3rd update about the IIC 2010 which will be held from November 19-21, 2010 in Utrecht, Sporthal Nieuw Welgelegen on the Grebbeberglaan.
Participation
At this moment there are applications from the following countries:
1. Algeria, 2. Afghanistan, 3. Belgium, 4. Canada, 5. Germany, 6. England, 7. Finland, 8. France, 9. Ireland, 10. Israel, 11. Italy, 12. Netherlands, 13. Norway, 14. Portugal, 15. Scotland.
Furthermore there are negotiations going on with participants from Sri Lanka and Sierra Leone. Also the schools of ITF The Netherlands will participate. On Wednesday October 20th we have reached the mark of 100 participants and we are still expecting many more applications from the Dutch schools, so all is going well!
Deadline for applications
The deadline for applications will be November 5th 2010. After this date no application forms will be accepted by the ITF.
Pictures and video
According to the rules of the IIC it is not permitted to make pictures or video recordings during the IIC. On behalf of the organization there will be a photographer. Also during the Degree test it is not possible to make pictures or video recordings. No exceptions will be made!
Grand Masters and Masters
On this moment the following Masters will participate, besides the three Grand Masters:
- Master Christa Wintzer 8th Degree Germany
- Master James Tjin-A-Ton 7th Degree The Netherlands
- Master Frank VanBerghen 7th Degree Belgium
- Master Harry Vones 7th Degree Germany
Famous competitors
We are welcoming many familiar faces from the ITF community:
- Philip Lear 5e Degree England (multiple European and World Champion)
- Anna Anastassiadou 5e Degree Germany (multiple European and World Champion)
- Colin Adolfs 3e Degree Germany (multiple European Champion)
Hotel information
The hotel prices are known which will apply before and after November 19th and 20th (according to the IIC registration).
For November 18 and 21 prices are:
-single or double room : € 130,- per room per night, breakfast included, exclusive 5% city tax
-triple room : € 170,- per room per night, breakfast included , exclusive 5% city tax.
All payment and arrangements are to be made directly with the Hotel. The organization has a facilitating role only. For the record, please know the hotel is fully booked!
Banquet
On this moment there are 54 participants for the banquet and because the restaurant has a maximum capacity, the limit is 60 persons. Participation is strictly first come first served. Please keep this in mind!
