Newsletter 3/2010 New Opening in Mallorca
Mr Ioannis Tziolas 6th Dan from Greece, International Instructor of Taekwon-Do ITF, opened a new school in Palma de Mallorca (Palma, Majorca).
In June 2010 he started to teach Taekwon-Do ITF in Palma, in collaboration with the Spanish Taekwon-Do Federation. Currently he is teaching children from Swedish and German schools. Now he is extending this experience in Palma to everyone. Varied classes run three times a day! Lessons accommodate for children 5-8 years old, 9-14, adults and juniors over 14. Also a special class with unique combination of self defence and power stretching (that’s new!).
Opening a new school in Spain is not the only experience of Mr Ioannis Tziolas.
During the eighties, when he used to live in New York and Miami, he was teaching there with GM Kwon Jae Hwa. He had the honour to teach in the school of Mr Victor Davanzo (student of GM Kwon Jae Hwa) as well.
Since 1989 Mr Tziolas has run the school in Athens, Greece named ‘Hellenic Athletic Union of Taekwon-Do Friendship’. The school was founded by brothers Tziolas Ioannis and Polydoro in collaboration with GM Kwon Jae Hwa. His club in Athens has over 100 students of all genders and ages from 5-65 years old. It’s still very active and a thriving school.
Hopefully Mr Ioannis Tziolas club’s in Palma will become as successful as the school in Athens.
Palma is the capital and the biggest city of Balearics and Islands of Majorca. One of the largest tourist centres in the world it’s famous for its nightlife and enormous quantity of clubs, bars, restaurants and discos. The most popular sports are football and sea sports. Hopefully a lot of people in Palma will have a chance to get to know and practise taekwon-do ITF as well, thanks to Mr Ioannis Tziolas. We wish all the best for Mr Ioannis Tziolas and his students.
