NewsletterTo all Umpires and Officials at Euro 2010 Sweden,
On behalf of the Tournament & Umpire Committee we would like to congratulate everyone on the Umpire team for this event and on the way that you carried out your duties. This, we think, was one of the best organised competitions we have had the pleasure to be part of and the job done by the Umpire team was fantanstic.
After so many years together we are now at a point where we know the strengths (and weaknesses)of our Umpires and can match up the ring councils well. It is also good to see the ring councils work together so smoothly and be able to rotate the positions with little or no disruption to the job in hand. This is also noted by the coaches who are always quick to complain if something is not correct but this time they have not so much to ask us. Always a good sign!
We would also like to hear from you if you have any suggestions as to the better running of these events. We took on board some things regards the Power and Special Technique from previous competitions and this worked very well this year. We look forward to working with you all again in the near future and once again thank you for your committment to being an Umpire.
Best regards,
T&UC
