Seminar and black belt test in Poland

On Sunday, January 13th 2010, in the sport hall of Gymnasium no. 2 in Lublin (Poland) was held another black belts test.

The examination commission leaded by Master Ung Kim Lan (8th Degree) from Germany, consisted of Master Zbigniew Bujak 7th Degree, Janusz Gutkowski – 7th Degree and Mr. Zbigniew Semp – 6th Degree.

The test started at 9am and lasted around 7 hours. The level of practitioners was very high. Especially spectacular were the special and power test techniques of those passing the grading for higher ranks like 2nd, 3rd, 4th or 5th degree.

Together 29 people from Poland and one from Belarus passed the grading.

The exam was preceded by the technical seminar. For the first time Mr. Jarek Suska, 5th Degree conducted the seminar. Mr. Jaroslaw Suska is the most famous Polish competitor. He made a name for himself as being 4 times World Champion (2001, 2005, 2007 and 2009) as well as 17 times climbed to the highest level of the winner’s podium during the European Championships in the category of individual male pattern 4th – 6th degree.

The underlying subject of the seminar was: the basic movements, pattern, step-sparring as well as other issues connected with the black belt test.
