NewsletterBiała Podlaska is a medium-sized town in East Poland (in northern part of Lubelskie Voivodship), which lies on the banks of rivers Klukówka, Rudka and Krzna within a 36 km distance from the Polish border with Belarus.
The city Biala Podlaska distinguishes itself through many historical buildings like: St. Anne's Church– 1572, St. Anthony's Church - 1672-1684, Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary – 1759, Building Academy of Biała - 1628, Postpalace complex or old city.
This is a city, where one of the biggest Taekwon-do clubs in Poland called “MKS Żak Biała Podlaska” is active. Its roots date back to 1984. The club is currently working under the leadership of Master Zbigniew Bujak Ph. D, 7th Degree.
Sport has always been an important part of Biała Podlaska. A turning point in a scientific and cultural life of the town was the establishment of the Higher Teacher Training Centre as the Branch of Maria Curie-Sklodowska University on 3rd April 1969. Throughout 35 years of its existence, the Centre has undergone many organizational changes, yet since 1970 it has been an integral part of the Academy of Physical Education in Warsaw, in 2001 adopting the name of the Faculty of Physical Education. Many people from Polish Taekwon-do (coaches, instructors, competitors) graduated from this academy. Among them there are: Master Tadeusz Loboda, Master Zbigniew Bujak, but also Mr. Wojciech Zdanuczyk – 6th Degree (international umpire), Mr. Jaroslaw Suska, 5th Degree – Polish multi medalist in pattern, Mrs. Anita Pasek-Suska – 4th Degree (many-year-long member and captain of Polish Female National Team), Mr. Krzysztof Pawlik -4th Degree (PTA Vice-president for umpire matters, international instructor), Mrs. Joanna Munzadi (current employee of Polish Taekwon-do Association office, who you could meet as the computer service person during several European Championships) and many other leaders from Taekwon-do schools in Poland.
The educational (sports halls, swimming pool) as well as living (Students’ houses) base will be the venue of the upcoming 15th Central Taekwon-do Summer Camp, to be held between 2nd and 11th July, 2010 in Biała Podlaska.

Central Taekwon-do Camps became absolutely international “seminaries”. Each time over 200 students from a few dozen clubs from several countries take part.
