Seminar with Philip Lear in Belgium

ITF-Belgium invited Sabum Philip Lear, V° degree, to conduct a seminar in Gentbrugge on Saturday April 10th. National coach Yves Pollefeyt organized the seminar, the members and instructors of the school Chon-ji were helping a lot.

There were 75 participants at the seminar from different belgian schools, but also from ITF-Luxembourg. And although the next morning he had to be umpire at the national championships, also Patrick den Hoed from The Netherlands partcipated.

The seminar started with some nice and tough warming-up exercises and stretching, with afterwards technical exercises. Really nice and good, worthwile remembering.In the afternoon session, after the warming-up and stretching, Sabum Lear continued the seminar with sparring exercises, with emphasis on how to move around. Around 16.30 the seminar ended with stretching.

In 1995 Sabum Philip Lear came to Belgium for the first time, during the Open Belgian Championships. After this he came back several times on competitions and for the IIC. It was great to have him back in Belgium during the 20th anniversary of the federation.
