On February 7th the Belgian Championships for youth were held in Perwez.

More than 100 competitors, 6 to 13 years old, competed in tul, teamtul, sparring and special technics. The level was high and the children really enjoyed the competition and the nice athmosphere, created by the organizers and all the umpires, coaches, helpers and supporters.

As ITF-Belgium is celebrating its 20th anniversary, there were some surprises (like souvenirs, a digital picture wall, etc.). One of the surprises was a very good presentation by the demonstration team of ITF Wallonie and the Belgian medal winners on the World Championships in November: World Champion tul Virginia Dionisi and bronze medalwinners pre-arranged sparring Bistra Dencheva & Hans Rombaut. The children and their parents were impressed.

It was for the 4th time when the youth BC was held separately from the junior & senior BC (February 28th).
