Sunday January 10th 2010 there were 22 participants in the umpire courses of the I.T.F. the Netherlands. 17 new referees were educated for corner referee sparring rules and 5 participants for centre referee. Because of the extreme weather conditions 4 participants were not able to travel to the course and will do this the next time in September 2010.

The course were conducted by Patrick den Hoed, 4th Degree and Harry van Schaik, 5th Degree of the umpire committee of the Netherlands. After theory, fundamental exercises, individual sparring we ended with a team match. A good learning process for referees and participants to see what happens during a match in team sparring.

The course was rewarded bye the participants with 8,2 for the total course, a 8,3 for the teaching material and 8,5 for the instructors.
