In 1989 General Choi Hong Hi asked -then 4th degree- Master Frank Vanberghen to start a federation in Belgium, which happened right away. But the official start, with affiliation to AETF and ITF, was in 1990. Now we're 20 years later...

In 2010 ITF-Belgium is planning some activities to celebrate this birthday, but already from August-December 2009 we had a contest to design a new logo for the federation. January 1st 2010 the winner of the contest and the new logo were announced.

Winner of the contest is Geert Hoogewijs, coloured belt from Taekwon-do Club Gent. He will receive a new dobok, offered by the federation.
