Dear Grand Masters, Masters, Instructors, Colleagues and Friends,

It’s my great pleasure to invite you to the main event in Europe for ITF Taekwon-Do 2010, the 25th senior and 16th junior European Taekwon-Do Championships.

This time this big TKD event will for the first time be arranged in Sweden.

Even though it is the first time a European Championship will be hosted in Sweden we have some experience of organizing big TKD competitions. For those who maybe don’t know we have during the last 10 years successfully arranged the international ITF TKD competition Viking Cup International. This was a very fantastic time and I hope that experience gained from arranging these competitions will help us to perform this 1st European Championship in Sweden at least as good as the Viking Cup competitions and other European Championships earlier in the past.

As the head of the organizing committee of the European Championships 2010 I take this mission very, very seriously and I will do my best to make the upcoming European Championships as comfortable as possible for all umpires, coaches and competitors.

As the Swedish national coach since 1991 I have probably met many of you during earlier competitions in those years. We are all aware of that all championships has a good and unfortunately also a bad side. I know that it’s almost impossible to arrange a championship without some “bad sides” but I really hope that I with help of you will be able to avoid as many problems as possible already ahead of the competition.

As the first step in this work I send to all AETF members the information called Bulletin 1 (PDF, 412 kB).

I ask you very kindly to fill in and send back to us the document: ec2010_preinfo.xls (XLS, 89 kB). This is very important information for the whole competition.
