AETF anniversary diploma for GM Rhee

On 27th June AETF board member Mr Philip Lear presented Grandmaster Rhee Ki Ha the AETF 30th anniversary diploma to celebrate 30 years of the founding of the AETF. Grandmaster Rhee was a founding member of the AETF on 14th June 1979 and also the first president of the All Europe Taekwon-Do Federation. He was president from 1979-1988 and honorary president from 1988 -2003. The diploma was one of 6 diplomas that were presented to those past members who have helped in the development of our organisation over three decades.

Grandmaster Rhee happily received the diploma and told the story of how the AETF logo was created as it is based on the UKTA (United Kingdom Taekwon-Do Association) logo. He also spent some time talking about the importance of the new generation of leaders working together as we are all one Taekwon-Do family.

Grandmaster Rhee was not only a pioneer of Taekwon-Do in Europe but also brought our art to the United Kingdom in 1967. Grandmaster General Choi was quoted as saying the Grandmaster Rhee was his best ever student of Taekwon-Do.
