In July 09, Mr Neil Ernest IV Degree and Vice President of ITF Wales invited very good friends Oleg Solovey, and World and European Champion Katya Solovey from Ukraine for a short holiday and training. After weeks of planning, it was dissapointing that Oleg did not receive his Visa from the UK Embassy in time, so could not come.

After a long drive from the Ukraine to Rzeszow in Poland for her flight, Katya arrived on Thursday. Their was a small visit to Cardiff Centre on friday afternoon, and training in the evening. Monday was spent at the Uk's largest theme park Alton Towers, which was great fun for all. Tuesday was training where Katya made some small sparring with some very young children. The children really enjoyed sparring with a champion from another country. Most of all was talk of Taekwon-do in the world and the structure in Wales and Ukraine.

We hope Katya enjoyed her time in Wales and look forward to her returning with Oleg very soon.
