The 7th Presov Open was held from 14th – to 15th March, 2009 in Presov, East Slovakia in the City Sports Hall of Presov. 20 clubs attended the event from the following countries: Hungary, Poland, Czech Republic, Ukraine and Slovakia. 221 juniors and seniors competitors took part in the two-day tournament. They could heve competed in patterns, sparring, power breaking and special techniques.

On Saturday participants took part in all categories of patterns. Then seniors and older juniors competed in sparrings, next special techniques were displayed. On Sunday there were sparring for younger juniors and children, some special technics and power breaking.

The Grand Finals were held in the Saturday evening, with show in the administration of sport gymnastic group from SC Polytrade, beautiful dancer Mia Sabah, dance group DC Spirit, fitmaker Marek Namespetra with Martina Hornakova and Taekwon-Do show was presented by SC TKD Ge-baek Presov.

We had the great honor to welcome athletes, multiple masters of Europe and World: Ilona Dziala, Daniel Dziala, Kateryna Solovey, Róbert Škop. Master Jerzy Jedut 7th Degree, general secretary of All Europe Taekwon-Do Federation took part in Presov Open too. We would like to thank him for his time and participation.

The tournament was held under the honor patronage of Mr. Pavel Hagyari, Lord mayor of Presov City. Domestic club - The Sport club TKD Ge-baek Presov became the most successful club in the tournament. Monor-Tápiómenti SE TKD from Hungary was a second. At the third place, just behind MUKS "Stoczek 45" Bialystok from Poland.
