On 22 of February 2009 for second consecutive year in the Rakovski Sports Complex was held the city Taekwon-do championship Triaditsa Cup. 110 children aged 7-11 years competed in pattern and special techniques. The organizers were Sports Association of Ministry of Interior, Triaditsa district of Sofia Municipality and Central Police Taekwon-do Club. The competition was under the patronage of the Mayor of Triaditsa Municipality who personally gave the official opening of the event. Other guests were Mr. Egmont Yakimov – director of Bokar Construction Company – competition sponsor, Mr. Ivan Mladenov – member of Board of Directors of Sports Association of Ministry of Interior and Mr. Vencislav Ignatov President of Central Police Taekwon-do Club and Bulgarian Association of Taekwon-do.

After a lot of entertaining and emotional moments for competitors and parents fist place won the young taekwondists from Central Police Taekwon-do Club followed by Taekwon-do Club CSKA and Taekwon-do Club Hari. The culmination of the event was the first round of the National team selection leaded by Mr. Yulian Iliev. Participants in the short competition were youths from Sofia. Excellent skills were performed by Dimitar Doychev and Hristian Hristov.

Second round of the National team selection will take part on 21 of March 2009 during the Levski Cup championship.
