On Tuesday, 24.02.2009 a sparring competition was held in Zichron's community center, in the martial art of Taekwon-Do. 120 students participated in the event, from Haifa, the Krayot, Yoqneam, Giva'at-Ada, Ma'agan Michael and Zichron Ya'akov the host town. In it participated colored belt practictioners from the age of five and up to seniors; and children under age nine sparred without contact.

The referees were instructors and practitioners who hold a black belt, to some this was their first judging experience as black belts.

At the end of the competition, in the presence of Mr. Avi Benvenishtani supervisor of the sport administration of the central region, also Mr. Danny Roth president of the Israel Taekwon-Do Association, Mr. Avi Avitan manager of the sport department of Zichron's community center, an inspiring ceremony took place. Once concluded, medals and partcipiation certificates were given out to all the participators.

The competition progressed professionally, in management of Leonardo Oros-Duek manager of the ITA regions north-center, and with a happy and kind atmosphere, as suitable for a Taekwon-Do competition. Well done to all the participators for displaying a sportive and friendy spirit throughout the event, also a thank you goes to the parents who always come to cheer for the children.
