In Poznan, a beautiful city situated on the western part of Poland, from 28th February to 1st March 2009 was held Junior and Senior Polish Cup. The tournament took place in the Sports Hall of Poznan University of Life Sciences. Poznanski Sportowy Klub Taekwon-Do, headed by Mr. Robert Rusiniak, Vth Degree, was an organizer of this event.
There were 277 participants from 45 clubs from Poland. They could have taken part in individual: patterns, sparring, special techniques.
For Seniors it was the first qualifications for Polish Championships which will be held 5th-7th June 2009 in Czestochowa (see the official site of this championships www.taekwondo2009.czest.pl). The next qualification competition will be Grand Prix in Klobuck on 28th – 29th March 2009.
The main goal for Juniors was to present their skills and fight in order to become a member of National Polish Team for upcoming Euros 2009 in Benidorm, Spain.
All competitors presented very high level of techniques.
In the Senior Category the Best Senior Female was Ilona Dziala from MKS LEWART Lubartow. The Best Senior Male was Kamil Raczynski, WSKT Wroclaw.
