The Annual AETF Board of Directors meeting took place on 17th January 2009 in Lublin (Poland). Members of the Board arrived to Lublin the day before and started their visit from the supper in one of the best restaurants in Lublin.
Seven of the Board Members were present on the beautiful sunny Saturday at the AETF Head Quarters, they were: Master Tadeusz Loboda – President, Master Master Coos v/d Heuvel – Vice President, Master Jerzy Jedut – Secretary Genreral, Master Carmine Caiazzo – Member, Miss Mimmi Oskarsson – Member, Mr. Philip Lear – Member, Mr. Lazaros Tsilfidis – Member And four members of the Revisory Commission: Master Frank Vanberghen – Chairman, Mr. Vladimir Machota – Secretary, Master Orello Ellis – Member, Master Panagiotis Gialamas - Member Mr Parviz Mamedov – President of the Kazakhstan Taekwon-Do ITF Association also participated as a guest and an observer, with Ms Malgorzata Rogaczewska taking the minutes of the meeting.
The meeting started at 10.00am with the Board of Directors discussing many important issues for the All European Taekwon-Do Federation and the coming year. At the beginning the members approved the Agenda and the minutes from the last Board of Directors meeting, which was held in January last year. After that, The President - Master Loboda handed the diplomas and congratulated the new members elected at the Voting Congress in Wroclaw at the European Championships in May 2008.
The annual report of the AETF activities in 2008 was presented as well as the Revisory Commission’s report. Also, the approval of the financial report for 2008 and candidatures for the AETF Committees where approved and discussed. Only one candidature was put forwards for the European Cup this year by Poland to host from 9th-11th October in Lublin. It was agreed that the anniversary of 30 years of the AETF would be celebrated this year through various articles placed on the AETF website and at the European Championships and European Cup. The meeting was concluded at 8.30pm in the evening.
The Board and Revisory Commission were invited to the famous Bida restaurant in Lublin where they tried the “soup in bread” and the many delicious meats on a large platter. Everyone departed on Sunday 18th January after a very successful meeting and are scheduled to meet again at the European Championships in Benidorm, Spain.
