All Russia summer camp

 
 

At the beginning of July, the All Russia Taekwon-do Federation organized for the first time an All Russia Summer Training Camp. 216 students from All Russia participated in the camp. The camp was organized in the coast of Black Sea. Among the instructors were the most successful Russian coaches and competitors.

Because this first camp was successful we believe that this event will become traditional and the number of participants will double in the future.

Russian Martial Arts Union Games

The Russian Martial Arts Union is an organization that has united All Martial Arts in Russia under the leadership of Mr. Youri Trutnev – Minister of Natural Resources of Russian Federation and Mr. Sergey Kirienko – Minister of Atomic Energy of Russian Federation.

On 10-11th October 2008 was held the Russian Martial Arts Union Games. This was the first time that the biggest Martial Arts Federations were participating together in one big event. Taekwon-Do was represented by the All Russia Taekwon-Do Federation. Taekwon-Do athletes were competing under the official ITF rules in separate do-jang and demonstrated the art of Taekwon-Do during the opening ceremony.

 

Open Championship of the Central Federal District

On November, 8-9th 2008 in Tambov (Russia) was held the Open Championship of the Central Federal District on Taekwon-Do for colour and black belts. The competition was organized in following categories: individual pattern, sparring and power test.

The organizers of the tournament were: All Russia Taekwon-Do Federation and Tambov Regional Taekwon-Do Federation with the support of Committee on Physical Training and Sports of the Tambov area. The competitions went by in a very warm and friendly atmosphere, on the excellent organizational level.

The teams that took part in the Championship were: the Tambov area, Moscow (clubs "Prince Yury Dolgoruky", "Vladimir", "Southeast" Dan Gun, "Vozrojdeniel", "Patriot") and the Moscow area (clubs "Maximum", “Prior”), the Ryazan area, St.-Petersburg and Leningrad region, Voronezh, the Samara area, Great Novgorod, Penza area.

Tambov is a city with very good training facilities and sport traditions. And while organizing each sport event Tambov is preparing to host the first International Instructor Course in Russia which will be held in first weekend of September 2009.

 
 

Black See Coast Cup

On 13th -16th November 2008 took place the annual Black See Coast Cup in the city of Sochi in Russia. Sochi is the city which will organize the next Winter Olympic Games.

So it is rapidly developing as one of the Russian sport capitals. The weather was warm and the organizers very hospital. 436 athletes participated in this event. Among the guests was Mr. Lazos Tsilfidis - the President of All Russia Taekwon-do Federation.
