On the 6th of December 2008 took place the 1st Celtic Cup of Taekwon-Do in Llantrisant, Wales. 140 Competitors from 15 clubs from Wales and England took part. The opening ceremony was held with the introduction of all clubs and the Welsh Piping Society playing traditional songs on the bagpipes. The competition was held with great atmosphere and good sportsmanship.

The Celtic cup trophy was presented to the overall winning club, Docklands TKD London.

 
 

General Classification:
         1st Place = Docklands, London (Instructor, Mr Tom Denis VI)
         2nd Place =Taekwon-Do Wales Ltd (Instructor, Mr Peter Kent-Marrast IV)
         3rd Place = Cardiff TKD (Instructor, (Mr Neil Ernest IV)

 

Next year we hope the other Celtic Nations Scotland and Ireland will be present. Invitations will be sent to all.
