Once again the recent technical seminar held in Cork, Ireland, by the I.N.T.A. Masters has proved to be a huge success and in terms of participation and technical content. Every individual who attended received the benefit of a wealth of experience and technical excellence and ended the experience on a high.
Master Brendan O'Toole (President I.N.T.A.) and Master Val Douglas (Vice President I.N.T.A.) commented on the positive attitude of the students, their willingness to learn and in particular their respect for both the Masters, Instructors and TaeKwon-Do.
Saturday was attended by 78 Students from yellow tip to 5th degree while Sunday was attended by 65 Students from red belt to black belt showing once again the high esteem in which both the I.N.T.A. and the masters are held in Cork.
On Saturday Master O’Toole and Master Douglas assisted by Mr Delea 6th Degree put a group of 78 Instructors and students through their places covering topics such as Patterns Chon-Ji to Moon-Moo, Self Defence, Traditional Floor Movements, Sparring techniques, Group fitness. The seminar weekend commenced with Master O’Toole welcoming everyone to the seminar and proceeded with Master Douglas leading the warm-up. Master O’Toole continued to lead the group through fundamental movements. Eventually the class separated into three groups from white belt to green tip with Mr. Delea and green belt to black tip with Master Douglas. 1st Degree black belts through to 5th Degree trained with Master O’Toole for pattern work. The afternoon session continued with Master Douglas leading a fun warm-up. Afterwards the students broke up into the respective groups to cover Sparring techniques, Self Defence, step sparring and bag work.
Sunday saw the Masters in action again, this time with the red belts, black belts and senior instructors. The morning session again started with Master Douglas leading the warm-up then Master O’Toole went through the colour belt patterns. The Group then split into two with Master Douglas taking the red belts for pattern and step sparring work, while Master O’Toole continued with the black belts. The afternoon saw the red belts and black belts up far as 3rd degree work with Master Douglas on sparring drills, self defence, bag work and special techniques, while the 4th to 6th degrees worked on the senior patterns with Master O’Toole in detail.
The day with finished with everyone in great spirits and showing their appreciation for the Masters and the high esteem in which both the masters and the I.N.T.A. are held.
