Delegates for the PTA Annual Meeting

On Sunday, 5th October 2008 in Warsaw was held the Annual Meeting of Polish Taekwon-do Association. From 61 member clubs entitled to participate in the meeting, 36 delegates with the right to vote took part in the Congress

The Congress was observed by Mr. Andrzej Banasiak, the councilor of Sport Ministry, responsible, among others sports, for Taekwon-do items in Ministry of Sport and Tourism of Poland.

The Congress debated important problems concerning the development of Taekwon-do in Poland. However the main subjects were the calendar schedule for 2009 as well as the actions connected with the Jubilee of 35 years of Taekwon-do in Poland, which will be celebrated next year.

Concerning the Jubilee of 35 years of Taekwon-do in Poland, it was decided to take among others following steps:

1. 

   The draft of the Jubilee Publication Cover
   To prepare the publication under the name: „35 years of Taekwon-do in Poland” which will present the work and activities of all member clubs, the most important achievements, reminiscing the most splendid competitors who have achieved the highest triumphs both during the most important international tournaments as well as an a club scale.
   Following technical details about the publication were approved. This book will be edited on coated paper, in A4 format; in a print run of 3000 copies (minimum 400-450 pages). The publication is to be printed until June 2009.
   It was also decided that every one can run their own advertisement in this book. The price of this advertisement will be about 600 Euro. This announcement will be colored, in A4 format. It will be possible to prepare the graphic priceless by the editor.
   It will be probably the first publication of this kind about National Taekwon-do Association in the world.
2. To prepare a commemorative medal on this occasion
3. To prepare a commemorative t-shirt
4. To prepare a calendar of PTA for 2009 referring to this Jubilee.
5. On the PTA website will appear special banner that will inform about celebration. PTA has announced the contest for the commemorative medal, t-shirt, and a calendar for 2009. People who are interested in details can contact directly PTA office: info@pztkd.lublin.pl.
6. The most important event of the celebration will be the Jubilee Meeting that will be held in from 25th to 27th September 2009 in Zakopane, the most beautiful city laying at the foot of Tatra-Mountains.

Polish Taekwon-do Association will invite for this meeting at its expenses the leaders of all member clubs, but first of the forerunners of Taekwon-do in Poland as well as members of the Polish Senior National Teams and another guests.

Additionally other people will be able to participate in this meeting however at their own expenses.

This meeting will be a summary and will close the Celebration Year.
