Degree Test in Wales

On the 1st August 2008 in Cardiff, Wales, took place the Examination for Blackbelts.

Special guest and grading examiner Master Jerzy Jedut was invited to conduct this event. There were 3 participants for this exam; Mr Paul Jermyn (President) was attempting to grade from 4th - 5th Degree, and Mr Neil Ernest (Vice President) and Mr Norton Bottorfield (Treasurer) were attempting to grade from 3rd - 4th Degree.

Master Jedut was met at Cardiff Airport and was taken to his place of stay at Mr. Ernest's house. After a light lunch, they proceeded to the training hall. The exam lasted approximately 1 hour and covered all aspects of Taekwon-Do including: Patterns, Step sparring, Self Defence, Technical Movements, Power Breaking, Special Technique and ended with some questions.

In the evening we ate at a quiet resturant, where we were able to discuss subjects regarding Taekwon-Do. Also, it was an opportunity for Master Jedut to eat another huge bowl of ice-cream and strawberries!!!

On Behalf of the ITF in Wales, we would like the thank Master Jedut for his time, and look forward to him returning next year.

Mr. Neil Ernest - IV Degree
Vice President
