Newsletter 3/2008 Masters Mazovia Cup 2008
On 8th November 2008 in the City Sport Hall in Ciechanow (Poland) will be held International Taekwon-do Tournament “Masters Mazovia Cup 2008”.
The main organizer is Mr. Michal Korzybski – president and coach of the LKS Matsogi Ciechanow Club as well as the coach of Polish National Male Team, who have organized one year ago Mazovia Cup 2007 (here you can read about this event http://www.itfeurope.org/NL2007-04-35.html ).
The tournament will be held under the patronage of Mr. Adam Struzik - Marshal of Mazovia Area and Mr. Waldemar Wardziński – President of Ciechanów City;
The competition is aimed at the seniors’ competitors, black belt holders, in following categories:
- Sparring categories (only 4 weight classes):
- Female – up to 63kg;
- Male – up to 63kg, up to 71 and up to 80kg.
- Special techniques (only front flying high kick)
- Traditional sparring.
In the individual sparring categories the organizer funded cash prices:
- I place – 500 Euro,
- II place – 250 Euro,
- III place – 100 Euro ( two 3rd places);
The organizers have honor to invite following two best competitors of Europe (Champion and Vice-Champion at the last European Championships 2008 in Wroclaw) in each sparring categories, as well as their coaches, to participate in the Masters Mazovia Cup 2008.
Female sparring up to 63 kg:
- Joanna Paprocka, Poland
- Cecilia Akesdotter, Sweden
Male sparring up to 63 kg:
- Redzo Ljutic, Slovenia,
- Robert Schell, Germany
Male sparring up to 71 kg:
- Piotr Wasilewski, Poland
- Ernest Neil, Wales
Male sparring up to 80 kg:
- Daniel Działa, Poland
- Alexander Aronsen, Norway

Next to the cash prices the best competitors in each category will receive trophies for the 1st place, medals and diplomas for 1st, 2nd and 2 x 3rd places. Every competitor will receive certificate of participation.
