On the weekend from 21st to 23rd November 2008 in Lublin (Poland) will be held the Polish Open International.

Until now the participation of the competitors from abroad in the sport competition of Polish Taekwon-do Association was possible only after receiving the competitor’s licenses of one of PTA member schools or by participation in the occasionally held competition like: International Taekwon-do Matches, Mazovia Cup, Dragon Cup or etc.

During the PTA Board of Directors Meeting held on 11th November 2007 in Zakopane the decision was taken to introduce new formula of competition where the competitors from abroad could meet with the best competitors from Poland.

It was decided that the sparring competition will be played in the repasage system (up to two losses) by using the open scoring point clocks of PTA.

Until the end of September the graphical conception of the Championships (medals, diplomas, posters, etc.) should be ready. We will inform about this in other news.

Polish Open International will be the beginning of preparation process to the Taekwon-do World Championships to be held as well in November but in 2009 in Argentina.
