On 23rd of February was held the 11th Taekwon-do Slovenia MCA open.

The competition was hosted by Tomaz Barada Sport Club from Maribor. There were over 190 competitors from 14 different countries (Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Hungary, Germany, Nederland, Ireland, UK ,New Zealand, Malezia, Finland, Poland, Ukraine, Belgium). Among them were present some World and European Champions in pattern or sparring. Due to this fact the competitors were on very high level.

They were some very good fights between: Bianca Barada(SLO) and Katya Solovey(UKR) in the female sparring up to 52 kg, Zemljič Aleš(SLO) and Sebastian Kuhn(GER) in the male sparring up to 80kg, Rudolf Grega(SLO) and Hong Keat Looi(MAL) in the male sparring up to 71kg, Korolainen Nyyti(FIN) and Sehič Sabina(SLO) in the female sparring over 70kg.

   

   

   

The organizers were very proud with the competition. They received many congratulations from competitors, spectators and visitors.

The competition was displayed on big screen in the Hall. Around 1600 spectators were present during the finals. The show program prepared by Bianca Barada team and young Taekwon-do members from Tomaz Barada sport center was very good.

   

Once again they were very good provided for referees. They got a shirt in which they work, they got meal and lunch and at the end of the day a payment between 30€ to 50€. All referees did a very good job. There were neither protests nor injuries during the competition. We would like to thanks to all visitors, competitors, coaches and referees and we hope to see you all again next year.
