Member ITF-Belgium Teaches in Lebanon

Nico Van Linter I°degree, member of ITF-Belgium and instructor in the school Chon-ji, left for Lebanon in October 2007 with the belgian army. The belgian army is staying in South Lebanon, in Tibnin, as part of the UN troops. Nico returned to Belgium on February 14th.

While he was in Tibnin, Nico was asked by the organisation CIMIC to give ITF Taekwon-Do classes to children. Because of the langage problems he was assisted by VII° degree WTF Abdullah, but all courses were ITF. Around 100 children between 5 and 15 participated at the ITF classes, on Saturday, in the sportscenter of a school. The children were divided in 4 groups, each group consisted of 25 children, according to the age.

Nico really enjoyed teaching ITF Taekwon-Do at the lebanese children, he learned a lot during his stay in Tibnin, especially that people everywhere are striving for the same. He only regrets not being able to meet the President of ITF Lebanon, as it was not yet save enough to travel to Beirut.
