On 12th January 2008 in Lublin was held the annual AETF Board of Directors meeting.

Present were six AETF BD members: Mr. Tadeusz Loboda – President, Master Coos v/d Heuvel – Vicepresident, Mr. Jerzy Jedut – Secretary General, Master Sheena Sutherland, Master Brendan O’Toole and Mr. Mariusz Oltean – Board Memebrs.

Three members of the AETF Revisory Commission took part in the meeting: Master Frank Vanberghen – Chairman of the RC, Master Orello Ellis and Mr. Sergiu Sloninov – RC members.

Present were as well Mrs. Malgorzata Loboda and Ms. Malgorzata Rogaczewska - AETF HQ employees.

   

The members of the Board were presenting with the AETF activity in 2007. The AETF Revisory Commission has presented the positive results of the financial control. The balance from 2007 and the preliminary for 2008 were approved by the Board.

The AETF regulation of the sport competition was updated. The updated text of the rules will be presented as a separate news item.

Two motions (from Spain and Moldova) concerning the organization of the 15th Junior and 24th Senior European Championships in 2009 were taken into consideration by the Board. According to the procedure the final decision of who is to get the rights to organize the European Championships 2009 will be made by the AETF Congress, which will be held on May 15th, 2008 in Wroclaw (Poland).

The Board members discussed the current situation of Taekwon-do in Europe.

   

Because the term (2004-2008) of the current AETF Board of Directors will finish this year and the new Board will be elected during the AETF Congress in May, the subject of the meeting were as well procedures and rules in the AETF Constitution and By laws concerning the coming Congress in Poland.
