Newsletter Newsletter 1/2008 Jamil Chami Sportsman of 2007

The nominates for the Utrecht sport prices 2007 have been determined. The advisory committee has proposed for each category three nominates. On 30 January the jury will choose from the three nominates, the sportsmen 2007. The achievement has to be a European or World title.

Jamil Chami won a third place during the European Championship in Slowakia and the World title in Québec -71 kg. He has already received the medal of sports (NL2007-04-03.html).

It is the fifth time that a member of the club Taekwon-Do IN NAE DO KWAN is nominated: Ana Liza Tjon-A-Pauw (sports talent), Randy Pechler(sports talent), Youssouf Ben Moussa(sports talent) and Master James Tjin-A-Ton (sportsman).

We hope that Jamil will be selected from the three nominates as the sportsman 2007: Robin van Aggele (swimming), Jamil Chami (Taekwon-Do) and Geert Cirkel (rowing).

The other Utrecht’s sport categories are, sport woman, sport talent, sport coach, sport association and sport volunteer.
