December 9, 2007 was the first time in the PRO MARTIAL ARTS TOUR history that after a year of open competitions the best three fighters of each category youth, juniors and seniors could perform. Only in sparring competition the best fighters could fight for the title PROMAT CHAMPION NETHERLANDS 2007. 82 fighters in 30 categories of 21 schools in the Netherlands presented themselves in Achterveld (The Netherlands).

   

After four years of hard work the founders and board members of the Pro Martial Arts Tour, www.promatour.com, Harry van Schaik, Master Willy van de Mortel, Master James Tjin-A-Ton and Henny van Zon had the first step for the future of PROMAT. In the next year they will start the development of the Pro Leaque in a even more professional way. This will take time, energy and good spirit to get this together. With the progress PROMAT made in the open competitions the last couple of years this promise beautiful things in the future.

As extra there was a match were four competitors could fight for the title PROMAT GRAND CHAMPION 2007. Iwan Clement won this exciting match against Menno Nootenboom in a sudden death.

I'd like to thank all competitors, coaches, visitors, volunteers and referees for there support at this first PROMAT GALA. At the beginning of 2008 the Board of Director of the Pro Martial Arts Tour will announce the new Pro League for the year 2008.
