Newsletter 4/2007 1st International Tournament in Kharkiv
From November 30th to December 2nd 2007 in Kharkiv (Ukraine) was held the 1st International Taekwon-do ITF Tournament. About 380 competitors from 12 regions of Ukraine and the team from Belarus took part in this event. The high level of competition has been provided by such sportsmen as World Champion - Katya Solovey, European Champion - Igor Maksimenko and Andriy Pasichnyk, as well as Vitali Mikhelson from Belarus - the Vice-European Champion and the Junior World Champions - Yulia Yatsukevych and Vasyl Voytovych.
The tournament passed in the right competitive struggle. In each weight category in sparring divisions three were up to 30 participants.

All Ukrainian Taekwon-do Union intends to organize this tournament regularly and put it to the annual calendar of events. Also some sponsors are ready to give us support in carrying out the next tournament in 2008. The next tournament will be held in the Central Palace of Kharkov. There will be the solid prize-winning fund generated for the winners.
During the competitions was held the presidium meeting on which was decided that AUTU will participate in the next international events such as Slovenia Open 2008, Viking Cup 2008 and the European Championship in Poland.
