After IIC and Farewell of Master MacCallum

29th International Instructor Seminar held from 26th to 28 October, 2007 in Vienna (Austria) was very special due to the fact that it was connected with the Farewell party of Master Tom MacCallum, who after 22 years of living in Vienna decided to go back at the end of this year to his home country which is Scotland.

The organizer of the seminar was ITF Austria. The person responsible for the organizing matters was Mr. Elmar Kickingereder, the President of ITF Austria.

The seminar was held in interesting sports hall of Mastsumae Budocenter, which was situated next to the hotel were the participants were accommodated.

   

115 people took officially part in the 29th International Instructor Seminar. The true number of participants was bigger. All contestants were representing following countries: Austria, Argentina, Canada, Croatia, Czech, England, Finland, Germany, Hungary, Iran, Israel, Italy, Latvia, Libanon, Moldova, Norway, Poland, Romania, Scotland, Slovakia, Switzerland, Sweden, Spain and Uzbekistan.

Many Masters and officials as well as other participants came to Vienna on this occasion.

The main celebrations were held on Saturday evening, October, 27th. At 6pm two buses took all participants to Kahlenberg, city’s main viewpoint, where everybody could enjoy the fireworks in honor of Master MacCallum. After that all participants were taken to the Vienna’s most famous wine areas called “Grinzing”, where the official dinner was organized. During the dinner each delegation presented Master MacCallum with many occasional gifts.

All participants took this great opportunity to reminisce about old times. All memories were really moving for everybody.

The final point of the evening was the special test for Master MacCallum if he was ready for coming back to Scotland. He passed the exam very well.
