The 4th International Scientific Conference under the subject “Coordination motor abilities in scientific research” was held from 7th to 9th September in the Faculty of Physical Education in Biała Podlaska (East Poland).

57 representatives from 7 countries (Czech, Croatia, Japan, Niger, Russia, Poland and Ukraine) took part in this conference.

The main topics/ sections were:

• problems and strategies of scientific research into coordination motor abilities in theory and practice of Physical Education and Sport;
• Methodology, methods and techniques used to study coordination motor abilities and exercises of various coordination complexity;
• Various aspects of coordination motor abilities: medical, biological, morphological, functional, biomechanical, psychological and pedagogical;
• Coordination training: results of pedagogical research and experiments.

From different scientific reports 5 were concerning Taekwon-do. The articles were given in form of oral as well as posters presentation. Our sports art was represented by:

• Mr. Zbigniew Bujak Ph.D. (Faculty of Physical Education in Biala Podlaska, coach of Taekwon-do Club “Zak” Biala Podlaska Club),
• Mr. Miroslaw Zalech Ph.D. (from Faculty of Physical Education in Biala Podlaska)
• Mr. Jacek Wasik Ph.D (from Jan Dlugosz University in Czestochowa, coach of Czestochowska Akademia Taekwon-do)

   

   

Mr. Bujak presented the article “The stage of proficiency versus the level of coordination motor abilities in Taekwon-do competitors”.

Mr. Zalech articles subject was: “Movement asymmetry of sports fights in Taekwon-do athletes”.

Mr. Wasik presented the articles on the following subjects:

1. "The attempt of using the BTS smart system for the purpose of analyzing a chosen flaying kick, one of Taekwon-do’s special techniques" (written together with Grzegorz Juras, Grzegorz Sobota)
2. "The influence of tactical solutions on the result of ITF sport sparing".
3. "The physical energy reserves in Twimyo Nopi Ap Chagi test"

According to the information from the organizers the articles from the conference will be published this year in a book.
