On 4th August in Wales took place for the first time a seminar conducted by Mr. Jerzy Jedut 6th Degree. With him were three of his students including the 3 time World Champion Mr. Jaroslaw Suska.
Mr. Jedut and his students arrived from London in Cardiff on 2nd August at 3 p.m. and were taken to the place of stay which was a quiet house for themselves where they enjoyed a nice family atmosphere. They had no time to rest as at 5pm they had a tour of Cardiff's Millenium Stadium. The home of Rugby. On the same evening they met with instructors from Wales and enjoyed a great meal at one of Cardiff's finest Indian resturants.
Friday 3rd was a very full day as they visted the Historic Cardiff Castle, and the Welsh National Hisory Museum. In the evening we ate a great meal with myself (Neil Ernest) and Mr. Paul Jermym 4th Degree. Mr. Jedut enjoyed a huge icecream 30 centimetres high. He ate everything. It was really impressive!!!
The seminar took place on Saturday 4th in Cardiff. There were approximately 50 students present from the south Wales area. We started at 9am for all participants, white belts from the age of 6 years up to senior and 4th degree.
The first part of this seminar comprised of fun games with balance and co-ordination exercises. After this was a demonstration by the amazing Jaroslaw Suska. Everyone enjoyed this unique experience especially the kids. (and Mr. Ernest!!!)
After this, the kids left and Mr Jedut continued with some advanced movement and sparring exercises. The seminar finished wth sinewave movement and technical technique. Everyone was satisfied and really enjoyed this first seminar with Mr Jedut and his students.
Next year will be bigger, better and longer as Mr Jedut expressed his wish of minimum 15 hours next time. (He is very passionate, and it is great to see that). We finished the day by watching Wales play rugby in the centre of Cardiff and a great Mexican meal.
I would like to thank again Mr. Jedut and his students.
