Newsletter Newsletter 2/2007 Elections in Taekwon-Do Israel

On March 24th, 2007 took place in Zichron Yaakov City, Israel, the Board of Directors Meeting of the United Martial Artist of Taekwon-Do – Israel. This meeting was the first under the newly elected President, Mr. Danny Roth (one of the pioneers of TKD ITF teaching in Israel, student of Master Trevor Nicholls, graduated to 4th degree in 1995 by Gral. Choi Hong Hi and Master MacCallum, during that visit, elections took place to decide the national and international representatives on Israel).

Mr. Roth was elected President during the last Board of Directors General Assembly, which took place on February 9th, 2007 at the Law Office of Mr. Efrain Barak (Lawyer of the United Martial Artist of Taekwon-Do – Israel and promoter of the addition on TKD ITF to Worldwide Maccabi).

The former and new Board of Directors Members expressed their thanks to the former President, Mr. Mario Cosacow for all his support and hard work for the development of TKD ITF in Israel since June 2003. It’s important to remark that before the creation of United Martial Artist of Taekwon-Do – Israel, there was no National Asociation in Israel, and we were not represented internationally.

It was only through Master Marano’s visit in 2003 (as observer for ITF) that the 1st National Association in Israel was created, this NA adopted later the name United Martial Artist of Taekwon-Do – Israel. Nowadays, and after speaking to the NA Lawyer, we have decided to change our name to Israel Taekwon-Do Association.

The newly elected President thanks the BOD Members for their trust and support, and ask for their assistance to develop TKD ITF in Israel. Mr. Danny Roth (President) and Mr. Leonardo Oros Duek (General Secretary) will be representing Israel during the next World Championship in Quebec, Canada.
