Newsletter Newsletter 1/2007 10th Taekwon-do Slovenia Open 2007

186 competitors from 36 clubs representing 13 countries: Austria, Belgiumbelgija, Bosnia and Herzegovina, England, Croatia, Hungary, Scotland, Ireland, Poland, New Zealand, Slovakia, Slovenia and Ukraine took part in 10 th Taekwon-Do Slovenia Open, which was held on 24th February 2007 in the Sport Hall Tabor Maribor.

The main organizer was Martial Arts Club "Hwarang" BB and Mr. Milan Prajner, the President of the club and the Chairman of the Organizing Committee.

The competition was hold in Tul and Sparing for juniors and seniors. We saw a very quality fights which are fit on top of the World in Taekwon-do competition. The finals in Tul and Sparing they were looking from around 2000 peoples. The final arrangement was open from deputy mayor Andrej Verlič from Maribor.

Between guests they present the President of European Taekwon-do federation Mr.Tadeusz Loboda, legend of Croation Taekwon-do federation Mr. Toni Nobilo and Mr. Slavko Jereb and the best Slovenien boxer(Champion of European Union) Mr. Dejan Zavec who was specially expected from spectators.

   

   

The competition was connected by most popular Radio announcer in Slovenia Mr. Marko Potrč.

In the final spectacle with high quality fight there was also presented the other sport activated together with Taekwon- do which are hold in Sport center BARADA.

Mr. Tomaz Barada: I put a lot energy to promoted this competition on so high level which was supported by media Radio City, newspaper VEČER; DOBRO JUTRO; ŠPORTNE NOVICE and we have also 1 hour transmission on national Television TV SLO 2 and 2 hours reportage on television from Maribor TV MARIBOR. This year was very important to promotion this competition because in this year the people who belong to Chang Ung federation they organized in April the World Championship in Bled. I thanks to all competitors, coaches and referees with your participant on 10 MCA OPEN to rise up the quality of Slovenian ITF TAEKWON-DO..

Mr. Sebastijan Zemljic: The referees work was on high level, because they were no one to complain on this tournament. Once again I given thanks to all referees who are doing there work very well.
