Members of the I.T.F. Ireland Junior Squad

On March 3rd-4th 2007 the I.N.T.A. held their 8TH Open I.T.F. Championships in Dublin at the Sports Link complex in Santry.

Master Frank Vanberghen (Belgium), Master Brendan O’Toole (Ireland) and Master Sheena Sutherland (Scotland) oversee the smooth running of the 8th I.N.T.A. Open in Dublin.

Over 360 competitors from Ireland, Scotland and Belgium battled it out for the honours and displayed both professionalism and perseverance in the pursuit of their goals, putting on a fine display in front of a mass of spectators.

Special guests for the tournament were Master Frank Vanberghen, Belgium, Master Sheena Sutherland, Scotland and Master Brendan O’Toole and Master Val Douglas from Ireland.

Tournament director Mr. Niall Jones was delighted to have the opportunity to organise the event and was very thankful to all the individuals especially those who travelled long distances and assisted in making the tournament such a huge success.

The spectators were treated to a fantastic exhibition of team patterns by the junior male and female squad of I.T.F. Ireland under the guidance of Mister Pat Barry, junior squad coach during the lunch break and were a credit to both the I.T.F the I.NT.A., their coach and themselves.

When all was over it had been a very successful event for the I.N.T.A. and President, Master O’Toole. From white belt to black belt everybody had a great weekend and friendships were rekindled and made.

The I.N.T.A. is very proud of its association and members and it showed in the manner in which everyone worked together to make this tournament the success that it has been since it’s inception.

A special thanks to tournament director Mr. Niall Jones for the excellent work in organising the event.

Mr. Ken Leahy IV Degree
