Festival of martial arts organized by CPTC took part in Sofia Hall.

15-20.06.2006

Several CPTC members visited the HQ of A.E.T.F. in Lublin – Poland at the kind invitation of the organization. The main objective of this visit was introduction to the activities and the way of functioning of A.E.T.F. and internal organization of the Polish Taekwon-do Federation. Another important point of the event was the clarifying of the requirements to start a new Taekwon-do organization which to be able to become member of A.E.T.F.

Also we had the opportunity to visit competition for kids and to take part in an almost private technical seminar with Mr. Jerzy Jedut.

21.10.2006

Bulgarian Association of Taekwon-do was established in the Conference Hall of Pliska hotel in Sofia. On this General meeting were voted the By Laws of the organization, HQ and Control Bodies. Mr. Vencislav Ignatov was unanimously voted President of BAT.

25-26.11.2006

In Siconco Hall – Sofia was held the traditional annual tournament for youth and senior “Young Friends of Police”. On this event was introduced for the first time in Bulgaria special techniques competition for children – inspired by our visit in Lublin – Poland.

03.12.2006

For the first time in Bulgaria was organized Gala night of Taekwon-do. The objective was to promote Taekwon-do in the most attractive way, that’s why we used the rules for the very interesting team sparring competition – no weight restrictions. This event was directly broadcasted by local cable TV.

22.12.2006

Annual exam for technical degrees and small Christmas party.

Briefly, I can qualify year 2006 as very important and fructiferous for Bulgarian Taekwon-do. A huge step was made for its development, starting with the personal meeting with A.E.T.F. members and introducing new elements of relationships between Bulgarian Taekwon-do clubs, and breaking the all known mould of making TKD competitions in Bulgaria.

I believe that 2007 will be more successful and we’ll be strong enough to overcome all challenges during the whole year.

Best Regards,
Vencislav Ignatov
BAT President
