The year 2006 was again not bad for our federation. The most important events were:

• The Festive of all the sports from Romania, in Bucharest, organise by Romanian Government, Olympic Committee and National Agency of Sport in Romania.

   

• We start our activity from 22nd to 26th February with the National Championships for children, juniors and seniors in Iasi.

   

• 11 instructors from Romania participated in the I.T.F. Tournament & Umpire Course held on 31st March – 1st April in Budapest, Hungary.
• From 5th to 11th, 17th – 23rd April and 1st – 11th May we have the first preparation (one month) with Romanian Team for Juniors and Seniors in Baia Mare and Constanta.
• From 12th to 14th May the European Championship was held in Constanta. Our delegation consisted in 54 peoples. Our results are 19 medals and 24 places IV – VI at the juniors and seniors.

   

• From 22nd to 24th June the Romanian Summer Cup for children, juniors and seniors was held in Baia Mare.

   

• From 12th to 16th July 11 representatives from Romanian Federation took part in the VIII Juniors World Championship in Tegucigalpa (Honduras). We won 8 medals. Two of them were gold. Mihai Madaian was the best overall male competitor.
• From 21st to 27th August the Romanian Summer National Seminar for students, instructors and referees was held in Sibiu, at the Ocna Sibiului.
• From 12th to 15th October we organised the Romanian Cup for children, juniors and seniors in Oradea. Some competitors from Moldova took part in that tournament.
• From 26th to 29th October we participated in the 2nd World Cup held in Benidorm, Spain. Our Federation was represented by 9 people. Our results were: 1 medal and 2 places IV - VI.
