Every season there is one national competition in Sweden which gather many different categories of TKD-practitioners. The event is a very popular children and youth competition called Talent Open and this autumn it was and took place in Sweden’s second biggest city, Gothenburg. About 200 competitors from 18 clubs took part in competition this year.
The competitors were divided into age groups and advanced divisions. The sports hall was crowded with eager competitors, well educated umpires and coaches as well as exited parents and siblings. Head of the competition was Mr. Robert Andersson, 4 Dan and Fighter TKD Club Gothenburg, the pioneer of competitions for children and youngsters in Sweden.
Although it was a long day it passed quickly as the atmosphere was very friendly and all people present could enjoy the performances of the next TKD-generation. The fight for the best participating club was not over until the last fight had ended. Frolunda TKD Klubb from Gothenburg won and Skovde Taekwon-Do Club had to be satisfied with being second best and the third place went to Ljungby TKD Klubb.
