On October 18th 2006 a new competition season broke out in Czech Republic. We started with first round of Czech National Taekwon-Do League, which took place in Mladá Boleslav, the city of Škoda Cars. This season was preceded by seminar for instructors and referee seminar, because from this round on, all competitions follow the new AETF and ITF competition rules. Thus, in addition to Matsogi and Tul, disciplines of Special Techniques, Power Breaking and Pre-arranged Free Sparring were also included. 74 competitors competed in the matsogi, tul, special techniques and pre-arranged free sparring according to the league system in this year’s first round. Thanks to the new software used for managing the competition information system, everything ran quite smoothly and quickly. Representatives from Rícany, Brandýs n/L, Mladá Boleslav, Ceské Budejovice, Kunice a Podebrady were present. Great conditions created by the organizers were mirrored in the great performance of all competitors. Support of this event was crucial for Czech National Taekwon-Do Union as currently serious talks about support with Volkswagen Group are underway.
Thanks to all participants, organizers and sponsors for a great weekend with Taekwon-Do on the borders of territory of North Bohemia.
