INTA Colour Belt Championships

On Saturday October 7th the I.N.T.A. held their Annual Colour Belt Championships, this years tournament was attended by over 260 Students from many of the 36 clubs within the association, with ages ranging from 7 years of age upwards. The Championships were held this year in the Portarlington club which is run by 5th Degree Nigel Stobie.

The Championships got off to a great start with Junior and Senior Patterns, followed by Junior and Senior Sparring, the Competition itself was very competitive with the 'cream of the crop' coming to the top with a good spread of Trophies going back to the various clubs around the country.

Guests of Honour at the Championships where Master Brendan O'Toole and Master Val Douglas who kept a watchful eye on the proceedings and were very happy with the standard of the Competitors.

There was very positive feedback from competitors and parents alike as to how well the tournament was organized and run.

The Association would like to thank all of the judges, referees and organizing committee who donated their time and expertise to help make this championship a great success and a special thanks to Mr Nigel Stobie who organized most of this years event, here's looking forward to next year.
