On 30th September 2006 in Russia, held the International Martial Arts Match "Russian National Team – World Team" which took place in Moscow , the sports hall "Luzhniki".
The main organizer of that event was the Russian Union of Martial Arts. The All Russian Teakwon-do Federation and other National Associations of Martial Arts in Russia were participants in the match were co-organizer of that event. The tournament was very professional and well organised. Invited were 14 most popular martial arts in Russia. Each discipline presented one best competitor from Russia and invited one competitor from different countries who warranted at least World Champions title.
The organizers paid for all participants, coaches and referees this included paying for the visas, travel and accommodation costs, the hotels were very impressive. Furthermore the participants who won the match got 5000USD, and who lost got 3000 USD. All participants also became the diplomas and other merchandises.
Around 8000 spectators were present and about 130 millions watched the match on the Russian national television RTV.
The president of the Russian Federation Mr. Vladimir Putin sent a special letter to the all paricipants. Mr. Viacheslav Fetisov, the Head of the Federal Agency for Physical Culture and Sports of the Russian Federation, Mr. Yuri P. Trutnev Minister of Resource of the Russian Federation, and the Co-Chairman of Russian Union of Martial Arts were present throughout the competition.
The very famous television presenter Mr. Nikolaj Famienko leaded event. At the end the Russian music group “Lube” performed patriotic and military songs. The gaudy banquet finished that great event. During their stay in Moscow the participants had the opportunity to site see the city.
The idea of that competition was to present to the audience of Moscow and television viewers the following martial arts: Ashihara Karate, Viet Vo Dao, Capoeira, Kickboxing, Kyokushinkai, Complex Single Combat, Kudo, Muay Thai, Karate Shotokan, Sumo, Taekwon-do ITF, Wushu San Da, Combat Sambo and K-1. Very talented and famous competitors; for example Fedor Emelianenko from Combat Sambo and Alexander Ustniov from K-1 took part in that match.
In Taekwon-do ITF fight All Russian Taekwon-do Federation was represented by Alexander Leonov, present European Champion. His opponent was Milosz Moskaluk from Poland, the World Champion from 2001 in Rimini (Italy). The fight was very dynamic and really spectacular. The referees pointed out the Russian competitor as the winner. Milosz Moskaluk second place was coached by Mr. Jerzy Jedut and the main referee of that fight was Mr. Tadeusz Loboda.
A lot of people among the spectators were competitors and well-wisher of Taekwon-do ITF. The main folder that was published for the event presented the organizing committee, all martial arts and participants. Each discipline had their own poster and brochure. The show was presented on a three stage arena with special lights and smoke a effects. Between the fights the spectators had opportunity to watch martial arts demonstrations. Everything looked really impressive.
The International Martial Arts Match was a memorable and spectacular show.
On 1st October 2006 the All Russian Taekwon-do Federation invited Mr. Jerzy Jedut to do seminar about sport fight. About 50 competitors took part in that class.
