Newsletter Newsletter 1/2006 Viking Cup 2006 – Reminder

We would like to remind all those who are planning to take part in the 7th edition of the competition Viking Cup International, which will be held 8th and 9th of April 2006 in Skovde Sweden, that the deadline for all entry forms is the 15th of March. Please send all necessary documents before this date.

The preparations for the competition are going very well and the first entry forms has already reached the office of the organizing committee. On the basis of all information we have until today we are awaiting this year competitors from the following countries: Belgium, Canada, Czech Republic, Finland, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Norway, Poland, Russia, Scotland, Sweden, Ukraine and also we still wait for confirmation from USA.

We hope that the 7th edition of Viking Cup will be even better than the previous events and everybody will get more experience on all levels. This time we have especially planned some more good things for all umpires which will be accommodated in special hotel (separated from the competitors) with different activities during the competition.

Also as a little experiment the finals in sparring in the advanced division will be performed with a special adapted for ITF competitions electronic judge system. We promise you that this will make both the spectators and competitors even more excited.

As usual the competition in sparring will be performed in the very popular pool and requalification system that means that everybody, independent of their result, are guaranteed always more than only one fight. Original medals and different prizes are waiting for the winners and for all other participating certificates.
