Newsletter 3/2005 Switzerland 1st Summer Camp
On September 3rd - 4th took place the first Summer Camp in Switzerland; the team has spend an unforgettable weekend. Also children up to 8 years were allowed to participate in this trip. The team stayed overnight in a Boy Scout hut, which was equipped with several beds, a kitchen and a lounge.
The Camp ran very positively and the atmosphere among the pupils was very well. The participants of the team could lern themselves on this weekend from another side. Already as a first instruction Jorge Züger, the President of ITF Schwitzerland explained the sense and purpose of such a trip with the whole crew.
The members of the Swiss Taekwon-Do team let themselves be inspired by him. Many pupils announced,that thay will not miss this kind of experience in the future. Time shedule was full in these two days and naturally also connected with much fun. It was the main intention of the camp. Below you can find the description, what contained the program.
Meeting place: 3. September 2005, Rüti ZH station, at 08.00
Jorge Züger accompanied by his students direct into the gymnasium (school building Rüti), because the program should start with training. On this morning the most important techniques were looked at theoretically and practically, i.e. the sense and purpose of the techniques, as one implements them and as one can practice best these techniques. The pupils were allowed to clarify questions and ambiguity at any time. For loosening there was occasionally play, on which it concerned different abilities: concentration exercises, relaxation exercises, speed, skill, staying power, condition, etc.
The lunch took the team in the Boy Scout hut. Roberto Zimmermann and Robi Frey was the cooker. The meal was excellent!
In the afternoon took place training, whereby this time everything went around fighting: combat rules in a match, combat exercises, etc.
The dinner was again in the hut. After dinner two pupils from different groups prepared a show, which was presented to the team. The pupils participated with much imaginative. One was allowed to decide freely, what one wanted to make. As a show knows a scene from combat film, as matrix, Bruce Lee, etc. its.
The different shows were very well and exciting. Was laughed much and was learned. Subsequently, other plays.
On the next day, 4 September, had breakfast the whole team together and went moving later into the forest. The Dobock was carried forward in order to make photos in particularly beautiful places in the forest. The pictures were beautiful.
Then a last time was eaten together in the hut.
Such a trip wishes themselves the pupils next year again. Finally this Camp was very instructive and connected with much fun at the same time. The pupils thanked Jorge Züger cordially for the trouble, which he gave himself, adults and children at the same time.
