During first half of the year 2005 ITF Taekwon-Do Finland (SITF) activity focused on the implementation of the structure of the Federation accepted last year. Directors took full responsibility for their duties. I am very happy to see that tasks were taken very seriously and good start could be noticed.
Directors put lots of effort to make improvements within their range of duties.
Introduction of the Belt Test Criteria up to 2nd degree and number of technical seminars and camps all over Finland should be included to the most important actions.
As the part of the Technical Director's plan, Sabumnim Jerzy Jedut was invited to conduct intense training camp in May.
Big work was also made in the field of marketing and promotion what will improve our image and let us present as more professional organization.
In the matter of sport system, main focus was put to the preparation for the forthcoming World Championships in Dortmund.
Summer usually is a very quite period for Finnish Taekwon-Do and except for few clubs which continue summer training sessions, clubs stop classes until school season starts again. Nevertheless SITF Federation is currently finalizing details for the International Taekwon-Do Seminar scheduled for autumn conducted be the highest rank masters.
We hope to invite Grand Master Van Binh and ITF President Master Trân Triêu Quân to share their experience in Finland.
More details concerning the seminars will be given as soon as last confirmation can be done.
Mariusz Steckiewicz,
SITF President
