First Open ITF Challenge Cup



May 15th, in Oostakker near Ghent (Belgium) was organised the first Open ITF Challenge Cup.

This was a small tournament for coloured and black belts from 13 years on (juniors 13-17y, seniors 18 and above). Besides the schools, affiliated to ITF-Belgium there were also present some Dutch clubs. At 10.00 am the championship started with tul coloured belts, followed by sparring coloured belts. In the afternoon, after lunchbreak, the tournament continued one 1 centre ring, with the tuls black belts and sparring red-black belts.

The sparring for red and black belts was conducted in a league-system; the two best competitors of the league had to compete in the final to decide, who was the winner.
