Polish Championships 2005

May is very important month for the Polish Taekwon-do Association, because in this month take place usually the most important championships in all age categories.

The most significant competition is Polish Senior Championships. This year had place on 21-29 May 2005 in Wielun. In the Polish Senior Championships could only those competitors, who gained the qualification right on the Polish Cup A (8 best competitors in each category) and Polish Cup B (6 best competitors in each category).

Those competitors couldn't participate on the second qualification tournament in the same category. In individual power test and team pattern and sparring there is not obligation to be qualificated. There is no team special techniques and power tests.

 

This year the XVIII Polish Taekwon-do Championships 141 competitors from 30 clubs. The best female competitor was Malgorzata Rogaczewska form LSKT Lublin (2 gold, 1 silver medal) and the best male competitor was Mariusz Walach from MKS Lewart Lubartow (2 gold medals). The best coach - Jerzy Jedut.

On the beginning of May, on 30.04-2.05.2005 in Lubartów took place the XI Polish Younger Junior Championships (14-16 years). 6 best male competitors and 4 best female competitors selected from the regional tournaments have right to compete in this event. In the Polish Younger Junior Championships took part in total 210 competitors form 44 clubs form 13 regions. The best female competitor was Monika Gzowska from LKS lotos Jabłonna (2 gold medals) and the best male competitor was Kamil Raczyński from WAT Wrocław (1 gold and 1 bronze medal).




On 4-5 June 2005 will be held the XIV Polish Junior Championships in Oleśnica. More information will be available direct after the competition.
