On the 4-6 March 2005 the Polish Taekwon-do Cup for Junior and Seniors was held in Nowa Ruda. The main aim of the cup was to prove the shape of the best senior and junior competitors. 240 participants from 30 clubs took part in the competition. Below you can find the first places in all categories.

During the finals the great show was presented by the the Taekwon-do Demonstration Team Taeyong from Warsaw with their unbelievable skills. The competition had a high level; numerous competitors competed in all weight categories. The competition was unfortunately not successful for all. Miłosz Moskaluk, had a serious contusion of the shoulder and for the next 2 months has to have medical treatment. Although he is one of the best competitors in the Polish Taekwon-Do Team, it is not sure, if he will be ready for the Euros 2005.

During the Polish Cup Rafał Włoch from MKS Lewart Lubartów took on the unofficial challange to beat the record of Poland in the techniqueTwimyo Nopi Apchagi. Till now it was 2.85 m. made by Piotr Korsieko, Tomasz Idzikowski Grzegorz Pojasek. Rafał Włoch made a new record with 3 meters. He would like to repeat or improve this success on the Viking Cup International in Sweden.

 

The Polish National TKD Team started the preparations to the European Championships with the International TKD Match Poland vs. Russia in Moscow. Afterwards a training camp was organized for the female seniors and juniors on the 4th-13th March 2005 in Walcz and for male seniors and juniors on the 11th-20th March 2005 in Stronie Slaskie.

 

The Polish Cup was the next test of the sport condition and in the near future they will participate on the Viking Cup International in Skovde, Sweden and on the International Match in Poland with the attendance of delegations from Finland, Germany, Romania, Russia, Sweden, Wales and Poland. After the next training camp in Poland they will go for the European Championships in Terracina.
